Man... it was an honor to shoot this interview. 2x Grammy Winner, Blues Hall of Famer, and the last living blues legend: Bobby Rush.

Originally I was planning to shoot the interview in the concert room of this restaurant, but when I got there and started setting up, I realized it didn't look as good as I thought it would. The room was too big, dark, and empty. It didn't compliment Bobby's personality. So I quickly adapted and decided to shoot the interview at a table in front of a bar. There was so much more color, and it gave you the feeling that you were just sitting down with Bobby and having a good conversation. The restaurant staff was kind enough to turn off the background music, and adjust the background lights the way I wanted. Then I added a strong hair light behind Bobby, to give him an iconic kind of look, and I LOVE the result!

Bobby is such a vibrant guy who loves his city and wants people to see the best in it. All around this was a great experience and I was honored to be apart of it. Thank you MWB and Visit Jackson, for trusting me to shoot this!
